Well recently I formated my hard drive. I deleted my old WIn 7 and installed XP. But it only has all the basic drivers aka no internet drivers. But then I installed Ubuntu to get internet access. So how do I check which drivers I need? And where do I download them? My driver cds are nowhere to be found and Ubuntu is pretty screwy so any help would be appreciated greatly.
Hi MarkoC Welcome to D.A.L
Download and install System Information for Windows (SIW)
Found here SIW | System Information for Windows by Gabriel Topala
When installed go to the Hardware section and click on the Motherboard option.
In the right hand pane you will see the details for your motherboard.
Post them here and we can then advise you further what drivers you will need

Thank you Jim, but Ubuntu can't run that program. It gives me a bad format error.
Hi Mark
I'm slightly puzzled. Do you have a drivers problem in windows or a drivers problem in Ubuntu?
I assumed you had installed Ubuntu on a partition to gain internet access and was using that to Solve the internet problems in XP.
If the problems your having is with Ubuntu then you need to post here Linux Help - D-A-L Computer Help With that problem
If you are using Ubuntu to download the file. Then the file need transferring from Ubuntu via a flash drive or external drive to your Windows XP partition.
Or if possible locate your windows partition and transfer the file from Ubuntu to a place you can easily find in your windows partition.
Then install it there and follow the instructions I gave previously.

To check if any other drivers are needed go to My Computer and select Properties.
Now select Hardware tab then Device manager
Any device marked with a yellow exclamation mark needs the drivers installing.
If you need any further advice post back.
Jim
