That error seems to be associated with Broadcom. Perhaps the drive is corrupted. You could try downloading and installing the latest driver for it and see if that helps.

I also have a Broadcom NetXtreme 57xx Gigabit Controller. Try downloading the latest from the Dell web site. You said you had a Dell 610, is that a Latitude C610 or some other model?
