when i log onto my laptop it takes me directly to my documents folder. when you click out the screen is black, no desk top pick, any help appreciated

Hi rontay

When you leave the documents folder and are faced with the black screen.
Press control/alt delete to bring up Task manager.
Now in task manger select File/New task (Run)
In the Create New Task box that opens type explorer.exe
Does that bring up your desktop?
