for the past week or so when I try to view my "task manager" by hitting Ctrl/Alt&Delete or by right cllicking my toolbar or using RUN nothing happens ! what can be the problem?

• Double-click SystemLook.exe to run it.
• Vista users:: Right click on SystemLook.exe, click Run As Administrator
• Copy the content of the following box into the main textfield:

  taskmgr.exe

• Click the Look button to start the scan.
• When finished, a notepad window will open with the results of the scan. Please post this log in your next reply.

Note: The log can also be found on your Desktop entitled SystemLook.txt

It seems to be in a right place.
Navigate to C:\WINDOWS\system32 and double click on taskmgr.exe
See what happens.

nothing !!

Navigate to C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386 and double click on taskmgr.exe there.
Alternatively, you can find another copy of taskmgr.exe in C:\WINDOWS\$NtServicePackUninstall$

nope nothing happening there either

Are you getting any error, or just nothing happens?
You sure, task manager window is not hidden behind some other windows?

If replacing the file won't work, I'm thinking maybe some infection.
Those will often disable TM.
