unable to put iso file on usb stick

    Hi.
I have an 8gb usb stick that i have emptied and when i try to load an ISO file of 4.35gb it tells me there is not enough space to do so. I have formatted the stick but makes no difference.
    any help most grateful.
    thanks

After formatting the USB flash drive, open My Computer then right click on the flash drive and select Properties. What are the Used, Free and Capacity values?

For instance, on my 4GB flash drive it shows this:

The max file size for the FAT file system (which is usually what is used on USB drives) is 4 gb-1 byte. Hence the reason that you can't put the file on it. This is a limitation in the file system's structure and it is unavoidable. However you can use software such as WinRar to compress and even spit the file up into multiple parts or you can reformat the drive to the NTFS file system. You can also use winrar to extract the files for the iso image if you wish.
