Post losing files because of recycler

    Hello,

Somehow I loose files on my External Harddrive because of a virus called recycler. If I download a new file an old one disappears. Can anyone help me kill this virus?

    Please!!

    Welcome to D-A-L.

Are you certain "recycler" is a virus, or just the natural occurrence when a file of the same name is introduced to a given directory?

I am pretty sure since I am downloading (legal) music. Everytime with another name. My Harddisk space is used but I can only see a small part. It's a 1T HD and 110 GB is used but I can only reach/see about 10 %

".... I am downloading (legal) music. Everytime with another name."

Then I suggest you post a HijackThis log for review by our security experts. Follow the instructions here-> HiJackThis prerequisites. There are important measures outlined here which affect and "optimize" the outcome of your HJT log.

Then post your log in a new thread in the Spyware, Adware, Viruses and HijackThis
    Logs
Forum. (Not in this section please). http://www.d-a-l.com/help/spyware-ad...tructions.html

I placed the logfile in the other folder.

If the security people don't find, or help_clean, the machine, post back here to let us know if the problem remains, or the current status.

(By "folder" I take it you're implying Forum.)
