My wife has a Dell laptop ( a couple of years old ) that suddenly lost her profile. I tried to get it back but found the Windows to be unstable so I reloaded XP. It is better but now I notice in the hardware profile that several PCI devices have driver problems. I get a plug and play message that is looking for the drivers but none of the disks that came with the machine seem to have the drivers on them. Base system Device, Ethernet controller,Network controller,ECT. They are all PCI drivers. I see the drivers on the Dell site but am not sure what to download. The CD is working but I am not sure if I can use a USB memory stick to transfer the files.
