so every time i turn on the computer and sign in as admin, my settings begin to load and then suddenly the computer restarts. i am able to log on as a guest, but still i cannot system restore or anything to try and go back to before this problem started. any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance for the help.

Some information about the computer would help. Can you boot into Safe Mode?

i can boot into safe mode but i am not even sure what to look for to fix anything.
i did run a virus scan that returned a clean response.
if i sign on as guest, as i said, i am able to use the computer.

i was having trouble with safe mode yesterday but i did get safe mode to work a moment ago and system restored from there and all seems to be ok. why i didn't think to do that before i came here...rookie error. thanks for the help you would've given me and have a great day.
