Try installing SpeedFan to monitor your CPU and drive temperatures and fan RPM. See if that indicates a problem.

Have you cleaned out the inside of your computer using a can of compressed air (with all power removed)? Are the fans clogged? Is the CPU heat sink clogged?

If your computer has more than one stick of ram, you could try removing one and running for awhile to see if that makes a difference. If not, put it back and remove the other and test again. Replace if one is bad.

Always power off and unplug the power cord before opening the computer.

I don't think that a over heating computer would cause blue screens but I could be wrong. Most of (if not all of) those error indicated a problem with memory managment so I suggest that you scan your memory for errors. Broni recently posted instructions on how to do so here so I'll refer you to that. I don't know if your ram overheating could cause that. The memory problem could also be from drivers/programs incorrectly accessing memory and with so many critical system files listed in the error dump I think that windows or your hard drive might be giving you problems. Start with your memory testing and temperature assessment and we'll go from there. Also we could use more info on your system so please answer the questions below as completely as possible.

    D-A-L Computer Hardware Scan Results
    result of hardware scan.
i have cleaned the machine of dust etc (not much there) it seems the blue screen appears when the computer has been idle for a time, i have disabled some start up progs to to eliminate possible causes.
the computer is one i built up about 18 months ago.
the temp hovers at about 37-40c

That temp sounds normal for idle use. In comparison mine shuts down when the CPU reaches 75C. As for stopping programs you can't stop the ones listed in the log file because they are essential for the operating system to run or they are drivers. Thats what made me think that your OS might be corrupt. The other possibilities are that either those files are accessing memory wrong, something is wrong with your memory, or that your hard drive is corrupt. So I suggest that you do what you can to back up your files as soon as possible and I suggest that you either use another system or boot your computer into a live distribution of Linux such as Knoppix. If your computer crashes while you are copying files your files might be corrupted. The next thing that you should do would be to test your memory following Broni's instructions.

Than I recommend that you run a check disk. Open up My Computer, right click on your hard drive, select properties, click on the tools tab, click on check now, check both boxes, and then click on start now. Windows will prompt you to restart your computer. It will scan your hard drive during boot up. Then, when windows has booted up, hit the windows key and r to bring up the run box. Type in cmd and then in the black box type in SFC /scannow. Have your windows disk ready. Post back with the results.

Did as suggested, chk disk finished when I was away from the computer.did the scan on boot up, when it was verifying that windows files were in the correct place ,with windows disc in it kept asking to put disc in and re try, did this about 7-8 times, next time I came to the computer it had finished the scan and windows was up and running. Was that it?
computer was on idle this afternoon and when i got in the blue screen was there again

If check disk passed without any problems and sfc didn't fix anything then I don't really know what else to tell you. We can try to research all of the errors one by one and fix them but with so many low level programs giving you errors I'm really convinced that windows is corrupt or heading that way. You can either spend your time researching and attempting to fix them one by one and hope that that works or spend your time reinstalling windows and your programs. Perhaps someone else will chime in.

Are you implying here that you did run the command line and typed in sfc /scannow?
