I have the programe Ultimate Family Tree Deluxe with CD ROM for windows 95/98

My system is now updraded to windows XP therefore I am unable to open my saved data which is on a flopy disk.
I have loaded the Ultimate Family Tree disk which is for windows 95/98 and the programe is shown in my programes but am unable to open it. is this possible some way?

If so can someone explain to me how to place the data from the flopy to the new programe.

You can try running it in Windows 95 or Windows 98/ME compatibility mode. To do this, open My Computer and navigate to where Ultimate Family Tree Deluxe is installed, should be under C:\Program Files. Find the executable used to run the program (you can do this by right clicking on the Icon for it and selecting Properties then looking in the Target field).

Right click on that executable and select Properties.
Click on the Compatibility tab.
Check Run this program in compatibility mode for: and chose Windows 95 or Windows 98/ME in the drop down box.
Close the Properties dialog and try the program, see if it works.
