Hey guys!

My computer has been working horribly slow lately even though i have a 2 GB ram. It used to extremely fast but now works as if i have 256 mb ram or lower. It takes me a minimum of 20 mins to just start my computer. My computer becomes unresponsive at times when i run huge files or games.I really need help.

Hi NiaM Welcome to D-A-L

Digerati as put together a sticky with some great advice on how to clean your PC
and ensure you are malware free.
Which could be two possible reasons for your PC slow down.

Paying particular attention to the sections Clean Out the Clutter
and Scan for Malware.
You could also ensure non essential programs are not starting up (another cause of PC slow down) by
using MSconfig. An How to on this found here: How to use MSCONFIG in Windows XP: NetSquirrel.com
I know this may seem a lot to do but the slow down you describe could be attributed to
any combination of the above.
So is a necessary step in trying to locate the cause of your PC's slow down.
