Go to the computer manufacturer's web site, support/downloads area and download the drivers for all the devices in Device Manager that have a yellow exclamation mark by them, including Video.

To open Device Manager, click on Start then Run, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter or click GO.

If you need help to do this, post the make and model number of the laptop manufacturer and one of use will guide you to the right place to get the files. Also post the devices with the yellow marks so we can help pick the ones you need to download.

It's a desktop, Dell Demension 4600. Everything in yellow is very vague, but here it is.
    Ethernet Controller
    Multimedia Controller
    PCI Input Device
    Video Controller (VGA Compatible)

I've had this computer for 5-6 yrs. It's a Pentium. Is there anything else I can tell you that will help?

The link that VopThis provided is where you need to go to get the drivers.

    You probably need:

Ethernet Controller - Intel 10/100 LOM under Network
Multimedia Controller - probably Analog Devices ADI 198x Integrated Audio
PCI Input Device - Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility
Video Controller (VGA Compatible) - Not sure, depends on what you have. I'm guessing one of these:

    Intel 82865G Graphics Controller
    Intel 845 G/GL Integrated Video

If you provide your Service Code, we can look at the actual build sheet to help figure out what hardware is actually installed.

Another way to provide us more information is while in Device Manager, double click on each device that has a yellow mark, then click on the Details page. Click on the Property drop down and select Hardware Ids.

    You will see PCI\VEN_nnnn&DEV_nnnn&.......

Provide just the PCI\VEN_nnnn&DEV_nnnn part for each and post here. Usually you can then search on those values to find out what the actual device is.

Thanks for all the help. I went to the site last night and downloaded just about everything and the ones that I actually unzipped worked. I don't know how I did it, but it's working. I did put in my service code and it wasn't for my computer.....it was for a laptop, so IDK. But if I ever need to do this again I'm gonna have this info handy. So again, thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
