Not sure if this should be in the virus forum. I can't open certain applications. So far I tried Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Itunes. Before this problem I was performing my weekly Anti-Malware, Spybot, AVZ (found a kernel level hook and some other misc. stuff that I deleted) and Ad-Aware flush and it seems I've deleted something I've shoudn't. These are the notifications I get when I start my computer:

Application failed to initiate properly (0x0000034) of the following:
avgtvay.exe
Reader_sl.exe
StxMenuMgr
PowerPNT.exe

and

itunesHelper - Error 7

I downloaded some Windows updates, and it still didn't work (this was three days ago). I redownloaded AVG because my school's internet connection couldn't recognize the version I had, then I restarted my computer and everything was fine. All the applications I couldn't open are fine and there are no more error messages. My laptop isn't burning up anymore. Does anyone have an idea why it happened this way?

Apparently your first install of AVG didn't go well. At any rate, I am glad it is working now. Thanks for the followup.
