My keyboard is not configured right, i.e to get the @ sign I have to press the number 2 key, and I can't find the pound sign key?
How can I get it right
Thanks
That's the way it is supposed to be - for US keyboards. Can't remember what it is called in XP, but look in Control Panel for Regions and Languages, or something like that. From in there, you should be able to change your keyboard layout.i.e to get the @ sign I have to press the number 2 key
On windows xp goto control panel on the start menu. you need to find regional and language options once that window has opened up click the langauges tab you will see text services and input languages at the at the top of that window with a details button once the next window opens up you need to click add once you get that open choose your region and keyboard options click ok. now back at the last screen where you pressed add, highlight united states keyboard and click remove. you may get an error if you do just repeat the remove and restart your system and that should fix your keyboard layout issue.
Thanks for the help Guys, found it and it's now back to UK keyboard
