how can i delete my hard drive, so i can start again

To re-install XP do you have a Microsoft CD, a restore CD , restore partition, or ?
If it is a name brand comp, post make/model ?
Do you have the XP key code ?

Still does not answer my question, is the CD from Microsoft or is it a name brand comp "dell,hp, ect " restore CD. Depending on just what CD you have will make the how-to different. If you have a Dell/Hp ect using their restore CD it might be best to search their web site for exact steps to take for your model, they are all slightly different.
I have never used a restore CD, so could only guess. Others can help with above information.

Just because you have a virus does not mean that you have to reinstall windows. With any windows related problem we reserve as a "last resort" measure however if you really want to go to all that trouble it is up to you. What I recommend is that you read this & post another thread here.
