Speaker problem - No sound in one desktop speaker

    I have a Logitech Z 2300 2.1 speaker system.

I have no sound in one of the desktop speakers.

I have borrowed a friends Logitech Z 2300 2.1 speaker system and experience the same problem – one of the desktop speakers produces no sound.

    Malware/antivirus scans reveal no problem.

I would be most grateful for any assistance you might be able to provide me in addressing this problem.

    Cordially

Well, if it does the same thing with two speaker systems, then it would seem to point to the card. If you are certain all cables are securely fastened, it points to the sound card, or on-board sound. If you have been using headphones, the jack may be getting weak.

If this is a desktop then a decent sound card shouldn't cost you much.

You haven't by any chance changed the splitter (Left or right control) in windows volume control to one side have you? Just a thought.
