All files and folders on my C: drive are now set at Read only and even when reset (uncheck Read only) reverts to Read only automatically when properties are again interogated.
Could you help, please?

Never seen that before but Google found a lot on it. I suggest you see if any of these help.

You cannot view or change the Read-only or the System attributes of folders in Windows Server 2003, in Windows XP, in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
