Hi alro Welcome to D-A-L

Have you tried getting the latest Multimedia updates for your R400.
If you go here: Lenovo Support & downloads - Drivers and software - ThinkPad R400 and R500
Then download the correct update for your multimedia player.
Either InterVideo WinDVD player update or the InterVideo WinDVD software update.
Because it could just possibly be a corrupt driver causing the problem.
