I had two hard drives installed on my computer.
They all worked well for more than two years.
Today, however, after downloading a freeware program to a flash drive, I sought to access some information that I had stored on a second flash drive.
To do this, I went to Start, My Computer.....
What I found was a great surprise!
Although in the My Computer window I found the icon for the flash drive to which I had downloaded the freeware program.....
Missing were the icons for both external drives and the icon for a second flash drive, all of which were operative earlier in the day.
I would be most grateful for any assistance you might provide me.

Hi geoheid
If you right click My Computer and select Manage
In that window select Disk Management.
In that window in right hand pane you should be able to see all your connected drives
If so can you check to see if these drives have different drive letters allocated.
If any drives have the same letter allocated you can change this by right clicking on it
and selecting Change Drive Letters and paths and change the drive letter
so all the drives have different letters.
Once all drives have different letters allocated you should be able to see them in My Computer.
Jim
That did it!
Sincerest thanks for your thoughtful
assistance.....
