When I last attempted to print, I got a box stopping the print saying the "spooler subsystem app" had to shut down. What is this? Can I uninstall the printer and reinstall it and clear this up? How do I fix it? Thanks!
I would reboot first and see if that clears it up. The spooler is a subset of the OS used to "spool" data to the printer (or print buffer, or print server). Power cycle the printer before rebooting too - to clear anything out of its buffers.
If that does not work, I would uninstall, reboot, then reinstall the printer drivers as per instructions that came with the printer (or with the latest drivers found on the printer maker's website for your version of Windows).
Did it ever work right?
Re-booted the computer several times, uninstalled and reinstalled the printer, still getting that message when I try to print.
Now it prints! Go figure!
Hmmm, well that is odd but I am glad it is working. I was just about to post this possible solution.
If it stops again, try that.
Thanks for the followup!
