I can not access system restore I get this message:
RUUNDLL

An exception occurred while trying to run "C:\WINDOWS\system32\shell32.dll,Control_RunDL L
"C:\WINDOWS\system32\sysdm.cpl",System"

Can I repair this probelm with the XP CD

Another useful practice is to run SFCScannow to make sure you have no missing or corrupted .dll files.
