Unable to resize Media pop up player......

    ....as in attachment.

Lower right hand resize is not an option for some reason. When I mouse over there is no option.

I have run an sfc /scannow which does not help.

Any ideas why - anybody? I have researched extensively on the internet with no fix for the issue.

Only happens when running IE 8.0, not evident when running Firefox 3.5.7. So it is a IE 8.0 setting I am guessing.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    best regards,

Hmmm, that's an odd one. If you call up WMP on it's own, say to listen to a CD, can you resize then? I suspect IE8's security or popup manager does not like what it sees. Did it ever work? What version of WMP? Does it do this on all websites that support this type web based content?

    • Yes I can resize Windows Media Player version 11 if need be
    • Cannot be sure it ever worked with IE 8.0 - but it did with IE 6.0
    • No, it will not work on all websites that support the WMP pop up player
I suspect it is something to do with an add-on as this morning when I booted up the PC, accessed the link in my attachment in first post I was asked to allow an add-on. (was not quick enough to catch which one) I looked through the add-ons in 'Manage add-ons' but there are none there to do with WMP.

I booted up the Laptop also running IE 8.0 and the same problem is evident with no resize option either. I does work with FF on Laptop as with PC

    thanks for posting Digerati,

    best regards,

Well, I just went out to 2UE - Homepage and clicked on the image and it wants to down load a add-on for WMP. I did not allow it. I wonder if system restore will take you back?

Although no add-on shows in IE 8.0 on PC, a WMP add-on shows on the Laptop IE 8.0 add-ons.

I can resize this page for instance and any other I want to using IE 8.0 with both computers. Just not the radio stations pop-up player.

I thought of System Restore, but it is not important enough to use it as I can access all radio stations with FF which keeps me happy. I guess not allowing the add-on when you accessed 2UE you missed hearing the Aussie accent.

thanks for the suggestions anyway.......and thanks for your posts and attemped effort.

You are in good form today...

I'm not there so there must be some exceptions.

    Cheers,

Have you tried the "internet explorer (No add ons)" shortcut?

I discovered today that I can resize my WMP popup player in CometBird. Still no joy in IE 8.0 only.

@ townsbg Add-ons are needed to stream radio from around the world whatever browser I am using.

Tallin, what exactly is a Popup Media Player. I did some Google searches and all I find is how to create one for a web site. Is this something the 2UE web site is doing? Just curious.
