USB devices do not show up in BIOS, other than Legacy USB on some computers which is there to support a USB Keyboard, so it is available during the boot process. If you had a USB keyboard and Legacy USB (or equivalent words, varies a bit between manufacturers) was disabled then your keyboard would not work during boot so you would not be able to get into BIOS Setup.
Newer computers no longer have this setting as they always supporty a USB keyboard.
Tallin, sorry for the duplicate link. It was a modified procedure I often post for USB problems and I didn't clean it up completely.
hopfullt if I have done it right you will see what my USBs say....I didnt even think about what Ztruker asked me to do way to advanced for me...sorry!!!!!!!!!
I actually endeavoured to follow Ztrukers previous instructions I installed the Erunit file and then uninstalled all the usb things that where a light grey....also above them was a file called other devices (See attached picture) I didnt uninstall these.............anyway my usbs still are not working....Im seconds from throwing the laptop out of the window!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm more interested in the hidden devices that show once you setup devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1 as I described in my previous post, then click on View, Show hidden devices.
