laptop keeps getting unmountable boot volume error, repeating blue screen
well my laptop basically wont start up, i turn it on and it goes into blue screen and restarts the blue screen error says unmountable boot volume.
I looked it up all over google and they say to use a windows cd and use repair console to fix the problem. I used chkdsk /r and /p, it said something like i have unrecoverable files or something, then i did fixboot and it said could not write something. also i tried to just reinstall windows, i tried deleting my partition and it was like NOPE not happenin, so like what do i do!?
I know my hard drive cant be fried because it did this before but idk what happened for it to come back please help me !
Fixmbr isnt helping me either, so what do i do!? my hard drive cant be dead

I bet, it's your drive problem...
Run hard drive diagnostics: Hard Drive Diagnostics Tools and Utilities (Storage) - TACKtech Corp.
Make sure, you select tool, which is appropriate for the brand of your hard drive.
Depending on the program, it'll create bootable floppy, or bootable CD.
If downloaded file is of .iso type, use ImgBurn: The Official ImgBurn Website to burn .iso file to a CD (select "Write image file to disc" option), and make the CD bootable.
NOTE. If your hard drive is made by Toshiba, unfortunately, you're out of luck, because Toshiba doesn't provide any diagnostic tool.

ok so do i open up my laptop or seomthing to find what brand is the hard drive?
-
Since it's not bootable, you don't have any other option.
