Re: laptop keeps getting unmountable boot volume error, repeating blue screen
Well, it looks like you need a new drive...

If you have any important data on that drive, you better get it backed up now, before you lose access to the drive completely. Then go buy a new one as Broni said. They are really quite cheap now days.
If you can't get it to boot again, try booting a Linux "Live" CD like Puppy Linux. See if you can access the HD that way. If yes then you should be able to offload your data to a flash drive or CDR Disc (or DVD Disc).

Get the latest version available as the one he recommends is no longer easy to find.

guyz good news, i fooled around in the bios for a little bit, doing a bunch of crap, all i did was press f9 a bunch of times, to laod defaults, and booted to my windows xp cd and did a chkdsk /r this time it loaded past 40% and didnt say my drive had one or more unrecoverable problems, so i had hope, well it finished and repaired something, this time did a fixboot also, and now it came right up! so thanx for the help i hope it stays fixed XD

Now that it's booting, back up your data!
