Media Center and Messenger...Link??
Hi All...Recently, whenever I open Media Center (XP Home Ed), I get the message, "Media Center was unable to open Messenger. Please make sure that Windows Messenger is installed on your computer." I have no clue what the connection is between these two programs. I have not changed any settings for either of these programs since the PC was purchased in 2006 (Dell Dimension E510). Is this critical and how do I correct the problem...if there is one?
By the way...a big thank you to DJNafey for taking the time to answer my first post on this site a few days ago re: RAID Array.
Thanks to all in advance for your help.

Do you use Messenger?
If not go to: Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs: on the left menu click Windows Components then scroll down to MSN Messenger and unclick it.
It should then not try to start.
If you do use it but don't want Media Center to open it there must be a setting in Media Center that has this option. Sorry I am unfamiliar with Media Center as a program although I have heard of it. Most associations with XP consist of the specific XP Media Center OS which I assume this program tries to emulate in XP Home.
