    Rebooting Loop Problem

I have 5 (of 10) computers stuck in reboot loop/cycle (XP and XP Pro). The 5 boxes ignore safe mode, last restore point requests after an F8. I do not see a recovery disk.

I was in the process of adding software updates from microsoft, adobe, java to all 10 computers (various models IBM, Dell, home-made) (software upgrades had not been done since 2 or 3 years).

may or may not be important: the computers have deep freeze installed, but all boxes were in ´thaw´ mode (so deep freeze is disabled). on two of the computers I initiated CHKDSK.

any suggestions would be helpful to stop the rebooting loop.

note: my computer tech skills are beginner-intermediate level.

    Hi Terri

You say that "software upgrades had not been done since 2 or 3 years"

    Deep Freeze say : -
What is Deep Freeze and how does it work?

Deep Freeze is a software application that removes any changes made to a protected computer upon reboot. The details about the internal working of Deep Freeze cannot be shared. Faronics has successfully applied the concept to Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux based operating systems.
Could that have some bearing on you problem. Are you possibly in some way stuck in a loop
between the updates and Deep freeze

I had no experience with Deep freeze myself.

    Jim
