I was just adding my 2 cents - since I feel generous today.Well, let's see.Isn't this, err, covered, in my post
24 hours? Nope.Since you run CCleaner once week, I suspect CCleaner's registry cleaner does identify all items on the first sweep. But if it has been awhile - and particularly if there have been some software installs and uninstalls, then yes, 2 times is often needed to get everything. The 3rd time, as noted, is just to verify all was cleaned on the first two.
Run more than once? Nope.
Keep usernames and PWs, then delete? Nope.
Long boot time first boot after cleaning? Nope.
Backup first? Nope.
24 hours? Nope.
Since I recommend that this be unchecked, this is a moot point. However, my canned text is now corrected. Thanks Bill.
Run more than once? Nope.
I don't see a need. Never affected performance. If I run it again, it comes up with no new entries to delete. (Except the usual garbage re-created by a new/fresh book.)
Keep usernames and PWs, then delete? Nope.
Addressed; "Once you download and install it, open the program then click on (left hand side) OPTIONS, then COOKIES. Any cookies you want to save (trusted sites, places you have usernames/passwords), highlight them in the left column, then (using the directional arrows between the panes), move them to the right hand column under "Cookies to keep"."
ie; I thought it was covered. Or are we talking about something different?
Long boot time first boot after cleaning? Nope.
Mine are quicker.
Backup first? Nope.
Never saw a need as it (the program) never hurt anything. Have you experienced problems before?
Apologies for the clutter Crewie.
