I have just installed another winxp pro onto my computer as i had been hacked and the computer wouldn't start up (it went through cycles of starting up then going back to the beginning, only allowing me to access the BIOS)

What I would now like is for some kind, sympathetic soul to give me very simple directions to get rid of my previous OS.

Also, I think the whole problem started with a couple of trojans on the computer, and I will personally guarantee a spot in heaven for anyne who could tell me a way of getting rid of these!

So you reinstalled over the top of xp pro? I'd suggest saving what you need and reformatting the drive. Then reinstall xp. Its the best way for a clean start.

No problems, its the easiest way if there is spyware etc there and you have a copy of everything you need to set the machine back up. Good luck.
