    What do you mean by rebooted? Do you mean reinstalled with the disk? If you reinstalled you will need to install the manufacturer's drivers because XP's generic drivers don't allow for a high resolution. If you don't know anything about it you can try our hardware scan and then PM me the link and I'll try to help you locate them but I can't without more information. Please tell me though if you didn't reinstall windows but if you just restarted the computer or did something else.

    Welcome to D-A-L.

    "i put another xp program in there..."

    Do you mean you have reinstalled Windows XP, or installed a program that runs on the XP Operating System?

    If you've reinstalled Windows XP, did you format the partition (usually C:) before the install?

    "i have the motherboard disk, and i have run it "

    Did it do anything when you ran it?

    As far as resolution settings go....

    Download, install, and run Everest Home Edition (CLEAN FreeWare) on this machine. Once it's finished loading and running, look under;

    MOTHERBOARD
    Post what is listed for your Motherboard (make/model) and the Motherboard Chipset description.

    Computer, Summary, Display, or under Display, PCI/AGP Video. This will tell you what display adapter/chip you have. (Video Adapter and 3D Accelerator.)

    Post that information exactly as presented by the program.
