cleaning out Mozilla
I want to throw out Mozilla and re-install it as if it had never been here before. After I uninstall it, what other places do I need to go to so it doesn't act like it did before? It brings back a bookmark list I don't want it to use, and I want to erase the files it has in place while I have it uninstalled. Ideas? Thanks.

You can use CCleaner to clear all cookies and temp files as well as use the Registry Cleaner to clear the Registry if Firefox is uninstalled.
CCleaner - Home

No, I was thinking more along the lines of where does a browser set up a presence that it needs to be cleaned out of when it has been uninstalled? How to do this without using clean up software?

In the registry.
You need a simple registry cleaner.
Such as CCleaner.
You can never find the entries by yourself. They are # codes.

Interesting thread you have started here talkingroc.....thanks for posting it. Thanks jephree also for your input.
The reason I am so interested in the topic is I have had two instances myself since updating to the latest FF (this did not happen before the latest update of FF) of this forum and one other particular URL not loading correctly. When I say that, they load, but in the case of D-A-L it does not show the colours within the links, just loads with a white background which looks parched and incomplete. Hard to explain really. I must add IE 8.0 is not affected and will always load both sites perfectly.
The fix for me after trying many different Anti-Spy ware Cleaners....(I never use a registry cleaner nor would I recommend one) is to use CleanUp 4.5.2 then rebooting Windows only which CleanUp gives the option to do after the cleaning process. I have used this software for years with good success. The other cleaners I use at random are listed in My Maintenance Program at the bottom of this post. None of them will let this forum load correctly or the other URL I refer to which is an Australian Radio Station. All other sites load correctly during this glitch with D-A-L and the radio station linked above.
Anyone else having problems with the latest update for
FF Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-GB; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091016 Firefox/3.5.4 GTB6 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)
Would be most interested in experts comments thanks.
best regards,

when u uninstall Firefox, it asks you if you want to keep archives. I clicked no, and that cleaned out all the mistakes I was running into. I re-installed, and it asked if I wanted the bookmarks from IE, which I did. Now its all better. I cannot get Firefox to alphabetize bookmarks. It won't give me that option. So, before I threw it out, I made sure I had all its bookmarks in IE, and went and did the cleanout/reinstall.

Under: Bookmarks > Organize Bookmarks > highlight an individual folder and right click and then there is an option to "Sort By Name".
