    Hi chewchun

Is this the first time you've seen this error?

have played the game 'talesrunner' before without this error?

If you've played this game previously and the error only just occurred

System Restore would be the first best option to try. Go back to a day or so before
    this error occurred.
If this remedies the error monitor any updates you receive to ensure an updates isn't
    causing the problem.

Uninstall Symantec (everything), then if you absolutely have to use it, download and reinstall it. My recommendation would be to get rid of all things Symantec and Norton and switch to some of the free antivirus and firewall programs:

    Avast - AV
    Avira - AV
Comodo Internet Security (Suite) - AV and Firewall
    Zone Alarm
    - Firewall

Hey, i disabled the 'restart computer automatically'.
Then i get the 'blue screen' and it says this error.
    0x0000008E(0x0000005,0x8054_0B4,0xB4BF0C24,0x00000 000)

I didn't install any new products and this is my first time playing this game.

Windows Support Centre (WSC) us a site that gives information on various computer issues. See here: Windows Support Center: SITE MAP

One of which is BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) see here: See here: Troubleshooting Windows STOP Messages

WSC Advises that 0x0000008E BSOD is caused by : -

A kernel mode program generated an exception which the error handler didn’t catch. These are nearly always hardware compatibility issues (which sometimes means a driver issue or a need for a BIOS upgrade).

Since this only occurs in one particular game I think we can almost certainly rule out a bios issue.
Because its only one particular game this could be caused by a driver issue with your Graphics card.
Do you know what your graphics card is?
Do you know if you have the latest drivers?

If right click my computer and select properties.
Then select the hardware tab then device manager button
Now select your display adapter. double click NVIDIA GeForce 7600S
and select the driver tab in there you will see your driver date and driver version.

Now go to Nvidia Driver downloads here: Drivers - Download NVIDIA Drivers

On that page you can search for the latest drivers yourself Option 1

Or allow Nvidia to check to see if you have latest version Option 2

If you accept option 2 follow their instruction and it will check see if you
have the latest drivers. If you don't have the latest drivers Nvidia will inform you what is the latest drivers for your card are.

Download the drivers and install them.

Instruction on how to install the graphics drivers here : -
    Answer

If you decide to uninstall the old drivers before you install the new drivers.
When you go to add remove programs to uninstall the Nvida drivers if you have a
motherboard with an nvidia chipset make sure you select the option
to uninstall display drivers only and ignore anything else

I don't know what version of Norton you are using but
Symantec Shared Component , cltlmh.exe, is know to cause problems in some games.

see here: Re: "Symantec Shared Component has stopped working" While Playing A Specific Game - Norton 360 - Norton Community

The offer and hot fix for this here:I cannot run a specific program after I install Norton 360 Version 3.0

I would check with Symantec or their forum to see if this is the possible cause, and that the hot fix is
    appropriate for you particular problem.
