Hi, just registered on this site, so hope hat I am doing it right. My pc crashed this evening for no reason. When I tried to reboot it just came up with a grey screen with the white cursor on it (which would move around). I then booted up in safe mode, VGA and some other mode that my friend recommended but it just comes up with a grey screen with safe mode in each bottom corner and safe mode at the top. I am stuck and have a report to finish tonight. I am on my old pc at the moment which has really low memory that's why I bought a new pc. Any help really would be appreciated as I am a girl and have no idea about computers. Thanks

Did you try Safe Mode and then choose System Restore?

I have the same problem!Loads up to just before USERS section.
Tried F8 [restore to last good xp]
Tried F5 safe mode [as above]
I only have 1% of space on my HD!
Can only hope your question is solved!!
