This is my first question so apologies if this is the wrong section! Recently I upgraded my Windows Live Messenger to the latest 9.0 version and it was working well for a couple of weeks, but now the shortcuts and sign-in page have reverted back to the older version, and when I try to sign in is asks me to install the upgrade again. When I do this, it takes a couple of minutes and then comes up with a confirmation window saying that I have the latest version installed. When I then try to sign into Messenger after this, everything is still all in the older format and the whole thing starts again when I try to sign in. Does anybody know of a solution to this? Thanks in advance for any help.

You might try uninstalling all versions from the Control Panel / Add or remove programs then reboot and reinstall the latest.
