bad image / not a valid image

My computer recently crashed and I took it to a guy my friend said could fix my computer. Well, I had a lot of music programs that I needed and he said he could get them back on there. I got it back today and it was working fine. Now I cant open my protools le 7.3 program. I tried to reinstall it but the same message comes up. The guy isn't available now and I have some clients that have sessions for tomorrow. Can someone tell me what's going on.
Message that keeps coming up is - The application or DLL C:\DOCUME-1\Owner\LOCALS-1\Temp\-wsc5.tmp is not a valid windows image. Please check this against your installation diskette. Everytime I press ok the wsc5 keeps moving greater. Any suggestions?

Just to note I saw that as a possibility yet -wsc5.tmp brings no returns.

Also WSC 1 - 6 .tmp are common install files.

Anyway it is a possible issue and the manner of how the OS was reinstalled is also an issue.

    We need more details.
