Ie8
I recently updated to IE8 and now the taskbar or whatever you call the bar at the bottom of the page on the internet pages., don't give me the same info that IE7 did. All the info that is on the bar is : left side-done..........right internet ball and zoom in or out button. When playing a game that uses java the console will not go to the bar even though it's running. I've been trying to un-enstall IE8 and go back to 7 no such luck.
Can you help.

If you really want to go back what is the uninstall issue?
IE8 is under: Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > Show Updates > Microsoft IE8
If this does not work for you what exactly happens?
I am not clear on your problem with the bottom navigation bar in IE. Done is about all I ever remember seeing.
If you are referring to the Taskbar in Windows for the Java icon then perhaps you have the Taskbar set to hide icons?

I had to replace everything on my computer because of replacing harddrive. I updates to IE8. The task bar at bottom of windows only shows done on left side and on right the internet ball and the zoom info.
I have checked everything in java console to show the console but all it does is when playing a game it pops up and when I try to minimize it it goes away but does not show on the bar. I have checked all the boxes for it to show up. Nothing shows up on the bar. I also have unstalled IE8 but even though it doesn't show in add or remove I still have it.
Where do I fine the show task ions ?
Hope I 've explained this problem better.
Thank you,
Sandy

Have you tried enabling the Compatibility View? It's the broken page icon on the toolbar next to the refresh button. That may resolve your issue.

What does the status bar show now.
