Sounds like a suspicious file that I would scan with a AVscan if I ran Windows. Below Link will do the job for Windows.
File Shredder Freeware download and review - delete files beyond recovery from SnapFiles
I have already scanned it and it was clean. When you look at the files properties it's size and sized on disk is both 0.
You might try MoveOnBoot. You can use this to mark any file or folder for deletion during the next boot, before any other programs can get their hooks in it.
Run those extra test and you may also try... Go Start>Run (Start Search in Vista), type in: msconfig Click OK (hit Enter in Vista). Click on Startup tab. Click Disable all IMPORTANT! In case of laptop, make sure, you do NOT disable any keyboard, or touchpad entries. Click Services tab. Put checkmark in Hide all Microsoft services Click Disable all. Click OK. Restart computer in Normal Mode. NOTE. If you use different firewall, than Windows firewall, turn Windows firewall on, just for this test, since your regular firewall won't be running. If you use Windows firewall, you're fine. Same problem?
TuneUp Utilities has a built in file shredder. That should take care of it.
Unlocker is a lightweight tool that will remove this.
