Hi I recently tried to install a software, paint shop pro8 and things started to go wrong with my toshiba laptop. After a few attempts I now have the signal of the internet connection available but I receive this message (sometimes) when I open the computer:

dl.exe
C:\PROGRA~\sYMANTEC\S32EVNTi.DLL. An installable Virtual Device Driver failed DLL initialization. Choose close to terminate the application.

The Internet Provider told me over the phone that I needed to contact an IT specialist to fix this problem.

I have looked on some advice on the internet, but none of them worked and some of them I don't know how to do it.

Can anyone suggest/advise me please?

If you have uninstalled norton I would run the norton removal tool. If you haven't uninstalled norton then I would uninstall it, run the tool, and then reinstall it. If that doesn't work you should try a restore point to before you installed that program.
