Is anyone else having problems downloading any Windows updates from microsoft at the moment?

I reformatted my PC and reinstalled eveything yesterday, but I can't download any of Microsofts Updates, particularly Service Pack 2. The site just freezes when it starts to scan for available updates.

Is this a website error or something I am doing wrong?

I did have problems last week getting the latest patch for SP2.
It just took several attempts to get it.
Tonight I linked via the web to windows update and the scan froze, but it ran fine when I went via All Programs > Windows Update.

Just BTW SP2 is still available from its' initial "Network Install"
(It's just a bit larger than the Consumer version.)

I just finished getting the critical updates today without any problem. It did take a while first up though to download the new search setup then scan.

Yeah my internet explorer was just freezing completly and it wasn't even getting as far as scanning for updates..Cheers, I'll try that link when I get home from work tonight.

Can u tell me what is the error message u r getting .if can give me the details i can help u out.
before doing windows update plzcheck the date and the year of ur system.

if its wrong u cannot do windows update.[/SIZE][/SIZE]

I've manged to download the big network, 256mb version from another website. It installed fine.
