I tried to install a new operating system (reactos) on an old windows xp computer, i apperantly missed something, it formatted some of the windows xp os and now it won't load the reactos disk I made and it only comes up the the "Hp Invent" page and then stays at that page.
I do not have the backup cd for windows, and i think the disk drives driver was deleted, how can i install the operating system?

Often old systems were very proprietary meaning you could not load anything but HP's version of XP. You might simply have destroyed the Boot Sector.

However when you say the HP Invent doesn't load does this mean you cannot get into the BIOS setup?

If the above is correct clearing the CMOS might help. To do so we need to know the exact model of HP?
