I managed to completely turn off my pointing device while trying to make a Microsoft wireless keyboard and mouse work on my Acer netbook running XP. Now I have no way to move the arrow or type on the keyboard at all. How can I get things working again and better yet, how can I make the mouse and external keyboard work? Thanks for the expertise! Bill (I am, of course, submitting this on my Mac, which has never had these problems!)

Not being a Windows user and the one of the few who is a linux user on this forum all I can suggest is maybe going into safe mode while booting up Windows and continually pressing F8 key and try to do a System Restore before you changed the settings. The Windows guys here will get back with you on how to get your wireless keyboard and mouse going. Good Luck and be Patient. They'll get back to ya on this.
