RAM not fully recognised

Sorry for the late reply - our internet is being very patchy at the moment and was down for all of yesterday.

I'm using the sound card's ports on the back; the motherboard ports don't seem to work at the moment - could that be the reason the sound card was put in? Assuming that's true, what needs to be done?

A friend suggested it could just be out of date drivers as it's the drivers that tell the computer how to recognise what is being plugged into the ports. Is that a possibility?

The card "S-bracket" as well as the board ports are described in detail starting on the bottom of page 9 in the manual:

    http://www.pcpartner.com/pcpartner/s...intel/pa60.pdf

That card and software appear to be an option on that board.

Simply having that card in place most likely voids the board ports.

Often the front case wires need to be set in an alternate configuration in order to use the front ports with a card in place.

Anyway at this point see if the manual helps then ask any further questions.

Sorry I'm sort of lost there. What am I looking for? This shows what it is saying when NOTHING is connected.

Still can get sound from only the front. :s

According to the manual the ports are subject to the "Speaker Configuration"

Either 2/4/6 channel depending on the settings under "Speaker Configuration".

I'm using it with headphones. I've been fiddling with some of the settings, not sure what I did, but I've got sound and microphone working on the front. Still nothing from the back anywhere.
