Internet Explorer 7 For Windows XP
My windows updates have alerted me that there is a Internet Explorer 7 that I can download if I want to.
Think is I am not sure if I want to or not.
I used to have aol version 9 many moons ago and got rid and went back to 8 because of problems using it. I dont have aol anymore but you can see where im coming from here.
I have heard of problems with other software and service packs, browser updates blah blah so im just holding on until someone tells me its fine.
Should I install windows update Internet Explorer 7??? or should I just stick with the version I have??? (6 I think)

The major differences between IE6 & IE7 are that IE7 has;- Multi-tab browsing
- a phishing filter
- a few more security enhancements
If IE6 works fine for you, and you're comfortable with it, (and you don't have internet security problems) then stay with it.
I waited until IE7 was out for quite a while before I switched. Like all "new" things, it'll take a few sessions with it to get used to it. I like the multi-tab browsing. I went to Firefox for a while to get multi-tab's but went back to IE6 as I found it a bit cumbersome the way Favorites (Bookmarks in FF) was handled (in FF).
As a note, I run XP Home, SP2, with only two updates. (KB926239 & KB933360.) I do not have any other updates installed, nor do I have Automatic Updates running as a service.
I run avast!, Comodo Firewall & BOClean, & BillP Studios Winpatrol. I've never had a problem.

Thanks Dan.
I think I may stick with 6 for a little while...I never directly click on IE anyway, only right click to delete my temp internet files...always use my BT browser for internet browsing but was thinking it went through IE in some way. Hope that made sense lol.
