I took my internal hard drive to my friend's house to watch some movies, but when I bought it back and reconnected it the operating system wouldn't load off of it.
After it has tried loading windows it displays an error screen letting me know of a hardware problem.
However I can use the computer in safe mode. So is there anything I can do from here to make it work?

Try using this

Start / Programs / Accessories / System tools / system restore / restore to a date before you removed your hard drive

Yeah I tried doing that but it was turned off.
