The problem when i run a program come up with a blue screen coming up which says

A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to yr computer.
if this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart yr computer.
if this screen appears again follow these steps:
run a system diagnostic utility supplied by yr hardware manufacturer. in particular, run a memory check, and check for faulty or mismatched memory.
Try Changing video adapters.
........
.......
then finally dumping physical memory.

Can you help me solve this problem?
if the solution to get over this is reformatting my system i wouldnt mind.
but looking to see if the solution is something simple first.

the error is **STOP 0x0000007F (0x00000008, 0x00000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
which supposedly is a double fault?
will reformatting solve the problem?
it will not right?
