I can not change my desktop background, when I go into diplay I do not have the desktop tab as an option. I have tried right clicking on the desktop, and then non properties but still don't have the desktop tab showing up . HELP anyone!!!!!

Right click on the desktop, choose Properties, and under Themes, set it to Windows Classic or Windows Classic (Modified). You should then be able to change your background image.

Thanks Dan for the advice. I tried what you suggested and it only changed my task bar at the bottom of the page, it did not allow me to change my picture. Any other ideas that I might be able to try?

Background Tab is Missing

Go to Start/Run/Regedit and navigate to this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\System

Look in the right pane for a value called: NoDispBackgroundPage If it exists, double click it and set the value to 0. If it doesn't exist, right click in the right pane and select New, DWord value, and name it NoDispBackgroundPage. Leave the value at 0.
