First time poster here.

Got a problem with a Dimension 9150

Trying to re-install xp but getting no where.

Installation starst fine but then it gets to the point where it says select partitions but dosn't show any listed. Has a box at the bottom saying



unknown disk

no disk in drive

unknown disk

no disk in drive

unknown disk

no disk in drive

unknown disk

no disk in drive



When i press any keys it go's to blue screen with a the big long message about safe mode and such and a

stop: 0x0000008e (0xc0000005, ox80817471 0xf6fdc778, 0x00000000 message.

I cant access safe mode ever. Just want to wipe th hard drives and start fresh.

Any help would be a great help

What type is your HDD? Is it SATA or IDE? If its SATA you should provide the drivers for it especially if its on RAID configuration.

SATA - When starting setup in text mode, just press F6 and insert floppy provided with computer when asked. Then proceed with installation.

IDE - Check that jumpers on drive are correct ie: master, slave etc

Post back with results please
