OS Help
Hello, I am not technical at all even though I work for a computer company. I started to install XP on a PC we are using for my son. I realized I did not have the right key for it. I now have an OS for the PC, but I am stuck in the XP setup asking for the disk. How can I get out of this setup to install the Microsoft 2000 OS I got for this PC? Please help his birthday is this weekend and I wanted the PC up and running for him to play some games he will be receiving.

Welcome to techhelpforum.
Do you have the Win 2000 install CD? (And is it a retail CD, or a CD meant for a brand name machine?)
If a retail CD, boot the machine with it, and during the Setup, you will be shown all existing/recognized hard disks and any partitions on the hard disks. Choose the first main partition (C:) and format the partition. (NOTE: all data on the partition will be lost.)
Here's a guide;
