I have windows XP and not too long ago I noticed that one day my image on the desktop disappered and now I cant change it something all I get is the blue background. I have tried several different ways of changing it but nothing helps, does anyone have any ideas how to fix this???? Thanks.

Go to Control Panel, Display. On the Themes tab, set it to Windows Cassic or Windows Classic (Modified). You should then be able to choose/set a desktop background image.
