    Uninstalling Windows XP... strange situation.

Alright, yesterday Windows XP Professional (Service Pack 2) suddenly crashed without reason. When it tried to reboot it told me that there was some error in my system configuration files or something like that, and I would have to fix things through the recovery console.

This, obviously, needed the Windows XP CD. Small problem. The computer was given as a gift with Windows already installed, and I didn't have the Windows XP CD. So I went down to Wal-Mart, dropped down 100 bucks, and picked me up a grand-spankin' new version of Windows Home Edition.

I get home and after a few hours of fiddling, manage to recover my Windows XP Professional. Of course, at the time I didn't realize I was running Professional and not Home...

...so since I got my Professional version back up and running I want to delete the XP Home Version. Both are installed on the same partition, and apparently from what I've managed to read - this is not a good thing.

I need some advice. Is there any way to gracefully remove the XP Home Version of Windows from my computer? That is all I want. I want to leave my Windows XP Professional version intact.

Just to be clear: Windows XP Professional is installed in the C:/Windows/ directory and Windows XP Home is installed in the C:/Windows1/ directory. They are both fully installed and from what I can tell fully operational. I want to delete the XP Home Edition from my computer, without it having an effect on my Professional Edition version of Windows. They are both installed on the same partition.
